Immanuel Lutheran Church and School is seeking highly qualified candidates for a full-time 2nd grade teaching position, part-time middle school science teacher, and part-time K – 5 PE teacher.  There is potential to combine the science and PE positions to be full-time.

 

Teachers are responsible for planning and implementation of instruction to students in the third grade. The teacher provides feedback to both students and parents and ensures that Immanuel’s third grade curricula meet and exceed standards. Other professional responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: maintaining a safe learning environment, supervising students, maintaining student records, participating in professional development, communicating with staff/students/parents, and supporting co-curricular/extracurricular activities.

 

Minimum Requirements: (1) Embrace the mission and ministry of Immanuel Lutheran Church and School. (2) Possess and demonstrate good interpersonal skills in relating to adults and children. (3) Meet any regulatory requirements of the position. (4) Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Education. (5) Hold an appropriate teaching certificate in the state of Illinois, or be willing to pursue the certificate. (6) Successfully complete the background check process.
