The Kane County Regional Office of Education and Aurora University have paired to offer a 36 semester hour Master’s degree program delivered collaboratively by way of a partnership between Aurora University and an individual school district. Classes are offered at the Kane ROE in Geneva and is collaboratively designed to have relevance and offer convenience of time and location.
The Kane County Regional Office of Education and Aurora University have also partnered to offer graduate credits for select professional learning classes through Illinois Online Academy.
District/AU partnerships may offer a Master of Arts in Teaching degree and/or a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership degree with entitlement for the Type 75 Administrative Endorsement.
The required half of the degree, 18 semester hours of six core courses, taught by AU faculty. Refer to the general core courses described under Master of Arts in Teaching.
Admissions requirements and procedures are modified for cohorts. Transfer and prior AU credit vary from the traditional campus program. Entry is upon recommendation of Superintendents of participating districts.
